October	•Canine Café Charlotte will be a pit stop on the Barkitecture Pet Parade on Saturday, Oct. 1. The Pet Parade starts and ends on the grassy plaza beside Pike’s Soda Shop (on the opposite end of Camden from the Café). The fun starts at 10 a.m., so be sure to be there with your pup! Then, later that same day … and also on our block, at the Design Center of the Carolinas (1930 Camden Road) the Barkitecture Show and Auction will be held from 6 – 10 p.m. For more information, visit www.barkitecture.org All of this benefits the Humane Society of Charlotte and the SPCA Alliance, so mark your calendar now, and we’ll see you there!

The 1.5-mile pledge walk begins and ends at Freedom Park and offers lots of fun activities for you and your best friend, including Frisbee dogs, pet contests (owner pet look-a-like and best costume, among others), agility training and much more. November	•Southern Christmas Show is coming up Nov. 10 – 20. We’ll be in Booth #2159 in INDEPENDENCE HALL. For more information, go to www.southernshows.com •Canine Café Charlotte will be at the Home for the Holidays showhouse, benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, on Nov. 26 and 27. We’re proud to be providing the showhouse gift shop that Thanksgiving weekend at The Farms on Lake Norman. Ten percent of our proceeds will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Please visit us there, and enjoy a tour of the beautifully decorated Lowcountry farmhouse. We’ll be set up in the home’s garage. See you there! This year’s charity is the Great Dane Rescue of the Carolinas. All proceeds from the pictures will benefit this great group.
