Rather than force wildlife beneath the road where they are intimidated, Canadians have created wide, open-air overpasses for wildlife to migrate along their corridors that have been bisected by man.  Shown here is one of two crossing on the Trans-Canada Highway just north of Banff in the Bow River Valley of Banff National Park.  Key to preserving many species of habitat is the need to preserve migration corridors for wolves, bear, deer, caribou, mouse, elk, foxes, marmots and many other creatures.  For more information on fragmented habitat and man co-existing with wildlife, CLICK HERE.
