One of our favorite spots in the world is North America's number one ski and snowboard resort --- Whistler / Blackcomb, British Columbia --- click here for timeshare information.  Many young men and women locate there to become ski bums and ski bumesses for a season or even to become permanent residents, bringing their dog with them. Unfortunately, because of high rents or landlord restrictions, many are faced with the difficult choice of either keeping a dog or putting a roof over their head.  Most choose the roof.

Their dear pets are given to the local WAG rescue league.  Kept in great quarters, the dogs don't understand their predicament.  Most are so happy to see people and be taken on a simple walk once a day, they jump straight up in the air for joy when you stop by.

Besides sending a monetary donation to WAG, one of the best things people can do when visiting Whistler and taking a few hours off is to volunteer to walk the animals on the extensive valley greenway trail system.  Why not consider being a dog walker for one of these lovable mutts sometime between shopping and hot tub time??  You can also send a donation to WAG.
